This classic golf course designed by George W. Cobb has received a $5 million face-lift in 2006! All greens were rebuilt, shaped and seeded with Bent grass. Each fairway was reworked to improve drainage and enhance character. This course provides a great experience in a beautiful environment. Red Wing Park is a 97-acre district park that was developed in 1966 by the City as a family, general use park The property was acquired by the County in 1879 and formerly known as the "Old City Poor Farm." Red Wing Park is also home to many gardens established through the joint efforts of Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation and the Council of Garden Clubs of Virginia Beach. The park is open year round from 7:30 a.m. - sunset. Facilities include four tennis courts, a basketball court, four volleyball courts, two handball/racquetball courts, badminton courts, horseshoe pits, five shelters, three playground areas, three softball fields, nature trails, four gardens, picnic areas, grills, a dog park, open fields, vending machines, restrooms, and wooded areas.

The Newport News Park Ropes & Iniatives Course (R & I Course) is available by reservation only and designed to provide organized groups with an exciting way to discover more about themselves, others and their environment. Defined as “an obstacle course type adventure that provides both the individual and their group with exciting physical and mental challenges,” the Course offers both low and high event programs and is specifically designed to help your group think outside the box and communicate as one cohesive unit. The R & I Course is available for groups of 8 - 12 people ranging from ages 8 and up. Prices for participation vary depending on the group organization, size of group and number of certified instructors required to aid your group.

We fish year round for Sea Bass, Tautog, Blue Fish, and Flounder. Half-Day, Full-Day, and Night Fishing trips available. Our 80 foot boats leave from the Virginia Beach Fishing Center at Rudee Inlet. Everything that you need is provided - boat, fuel, tackle, bait, fishing license, fish bags, and ice. Our Captains and Mates are the best in the business with years of experience.
